Create and manage app credentials
To start using the Banqup APIs, you'll first need to generate app credentials, by setting up an account on the Banqup Developer Portal and creating a new app. The recipe also explains how to generate additional credentials or revoke existing ones for enhanced security.
1. Create an account on the Banqup Developer Portal
- Click Sign In on the Home page of the Banqup Developer Portal.
-
Next, click LOGIN WITH SAML.
-
Then, select Banqup One.
- Follow the prompts to set up your account.
2. Create an app and generate credentials
In your Banqup Developer Portal account:
- Click the + NEW APP button on the My Apps page.
- Next, fill in the app name and description, request access to the desired APIs and click Save.
Note: Once your request is approved, the requested APIs will become enabled.
Your new app will be displayed on the My Apps page together with the app credentials.
3. Generate additional app credentials (optional)
You can generate additional app credentials at any time, for security reasons. Your access to all spaces will remain uninterrupted when switching to these newly created credentials.
In your Banqup Developer Portal account, open an app and click the ADD KEY button and confirm your action.
The newly generated credentials will be displayed in the app.
4. Revoke app credentials (optional)
Revoking app credentials will immediately end access to all APIs that were enabled for your app, for those credentials only. When revoked, the credentials can no longer be used to authenticate requests to any APIs it previously had permission to access.
In your Banqup Developer Portal account, open an app and click on the Revoke button and confirm your action.
The app credentials will become inactive and cannot be used anymore.
